We were very excited to have Aunt Mel come to visit us last weekend. We celebrated her birthday with brownies and ice cream. Yum!
She had a LOT of help opening her gift,
and we are looking forward to having her spend Spring Break with us here next week.
Anyone have any good day-trip ideas?

We heard back from Rose’s allergist today.
She had a negative skin test last week, so he (the allergist) asked for blood work. He called with the news today that Rose has NO food allergies any more!! We aren’t sure how it happened or if her initial skin test about 15 months ago was wrong, but the fact remains that we will be slowly introducing foods with dairy and eggs into her diet for the first time in her 2 1/2 years. Here she is eating her very first muffin baked with eggs!
We are very, very excited and can’t even imagine having three girls who can eat whatever they want (well, almost).

She’s back.
I think she’s happy about, but I’m not exactly sure if she likes the new roommates . . . Rose and Pendo.
Macie gets much attention and adoration from the little ladies and from Kait, too.
How does Macie feel about all of this attention from a 2 1/2 year old and a 20 month old?

Here she is trying to ignore the chatter, the loud singing, the toys being thrown, the pudgy hands who love to “pet” her. I can just see her thinking,’If I just ignore them, surely they will go away’.
Macie, I’m glad you are home. Now I have someone to protect me from the mailman again.
By the way, here’s a pic of Pendo from this same day, and I really like how it turned out.

Kait joined our lives eight years ago. She is our sweet, sensitive, daughter who LOVES school. She is energized by being with her family and friends, and we can easily describe her as a social butterfly. She loves making crafts, devouring books, playing school with the little girls, drawing, baking with mommy, and keeping her favorite toys in her own space away from her little sisters. She usually enjoys being the big sister.
Rose arrived in our family 3 years ago. She was born three months early, and her life has been one miracle after another. Currently she likes anything and everything that is red and brown, prefers to wear sparkly shoes, reading books with her family, letting us know exactly what she wants, singing songs loudly, playing dress up, carrying things around in purses or buckets, collecting rocks and sticks, and playing with her sisters.
Pendo was born in Kenya in July '08. She joined our family in June of '09, and our lives will never be the same. This sweet, social little lady loves to make people laugh, climbs on absolutely everything that doesn't move, learns new things amazingly quickly, loves to imitate both of her older sisters, thinks she is part fish, is certain that she can do everything that Rose can do, and LOVES music.
